AP Language and Composition

The course introduces students to the literacy expectations of higher education by cultivatingessential academic skills such as critical inquiry, deliberation, argument, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students will read and analyze nonfiction works from various periods and write essays with different aims: for example, to explain the rhetorical purposes behind the idea, argue a point, or synthesize various sources in support of the argument.
